Cedars of Lebanon
These days of fighting, borders
moving like the shifting sands
These days of hating, argument surrounds the
Promised Land
These days of killing, now we try to find a lasting peace
All that's certain is uncertainty
All that's sure is insecurity
An
uneasy peace the best that it's bound to be
I'm glad to be on English
shores
Chorus
'Cos we could be ten miles inside of nowhere
Nothing breaks the peace or blocks the sun
That shines on us the lucky
ones in England
As we lie in the shade
Beneath the Cedars of Lebanon
These days of murder, rebels who
have thrown away their guns
These days of horror, mothers with their
children trying to run
These days of guilt, just standing by while
innocents are killed
Never knowing if the help will come
Never knowing
if the ends a gun
And now you're crying can they save your son
We only
watch from English shores
